Marlee & Brandon’s Story
We are always curious to know about all our couples’ love stories. And when we asked our beautiful bride, Marlee, about theirs, she told us, “We met at the University of Florida through sorority/fraternity and instantly became best friends. We were such good friends that we went on dates with other people and would meet up to tell each other how it went. I once thought to myself that I wanted to find a guy just like Brandon. And then, one day, I realized that I don’t need to find a guy like Brandon and that I should just date Brandon! At the end of freshman year, we shared our first kiss. Since then, we have dated, and we spent our post-graduation years long distance. Brandon lived in Philadelphia for podiatry school/residency. I lived in NYC for optometry school and Charleston for residency! We are so excited to get married and finally be done with long-distance, forever.” Marlee and Brandon, we get you! Living away from the one you love can be challenging, and we’re happy that you two could start your beautiful journey together.
About the proposal, Marlee said, “The proposal was a big surprise! I was in Florida for an interview and stayed a couple of extra days to visit my family. My mom suggested we do a cooking class on a Saturday morning and then meet up with my brother, uncle, and stepdad for lunch at City Cellar in City Place. We waited for them after the class at the wishing tree. My mom asked, “What do you wish for?” I then turned around and saw not only my family but Brandon walking towards us! It was just perfect.”

Situated in the heart of downtown Delray Beach, our couple’s wedding venue, Aloft Delray Beach, offered urban luxury to its guests. Its ballroom had floor-to-ceiling windows that flooded the place with natural light, and even the artificial lighting indoors was ideal for wedding photos. Aloft Delray was pretty much a picture-perfect venue. We were so impressed with not only the aesthetics but also the top-notch hospitality they offered.
The wedding was all about family, fun and lots of dancing. The whole room was just filled with great energy and positive vibes. Our couple had a Ketubah signing before the ceremony and a traditional Hora dance at the reception. And in the middle of it all, we loved photographing Marlee and Brandon – individually, together, and with their bridal party.
